Mission & Approach

“I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and finding ways to innovate, which certainly played a role in how and why I chose to become a surgeon. For me, there is no greater honor than being trusted by someone to operate on them… and no greater privilege. For that, I will continue to use the comprehensive surgical abilities I have, along with total commitment, towards achieving great results for my patients

My mission is to give my patients comfort and confidence that they will receive my total attention and timely, state-of-the-art surgical care focused on results. A major factor in determining what’s going on with someone’s health, and in being able to address their needs, is listening. It is important to me that my patients know that I am personally invested in their good health, and in helping them maximize their quality of life. That’s the kind of care I would want for my own family.”

  • "Can’t say enough about Wilmington Surgical."

“Can’t say enough about Wilmington Surgical. Dr. Medley is absolutely the nicest, most knowledgeable physician I’ve ever encountered. He listens, he explains, and he has a great sense of humor in the process. He takes away all worries about surgical procedures and clearly explains what needs to be done post-surgery. He even demonstrated what needs to be done at home in caring for a wound. Great experience. He exudes confidence.”

    - Daniel D.

  • "Received great care"

“Received great care and was able to finally understand why I have nausea and am not feeling like eating. I trust that I will be a new person after my surgery and be able to enjoy life again. Thank you, Dr. Mark Medley!

  • "The service was exceptional from my first call"

“The service was exceptional from my first call, obtaining the initial appointment and the initial doctor visit. Dr. Medley was very pleasant, explained the treatment process in detail and answered all questions about surgery. Put us at ease from the very moment we had met him.”

    - Frank S.

  • "I was in great hands."

“Excellent care and always so nice and caring. I love my doctor, Dr. Medley and PA, Darren along with the whole staff. This is my first experience with a serious surgery, and they have been wonderful to take care of me and call to check on me. Cannot say enough good words about this practice. They made my first surgery very comfortable and I was very calm and relaxed knowing I was in the great hands of some very excellent surgeons. Thank you so much.”

    - Michele R.
