Mission & Approach

“Growing up I was always building or fixing something. Most of my family is in the construction business, so naturally, I gravitated toward carpentry, masonry, and even diesel mechanics once I graduated high school. After working for my father’s construction company for a few years I discovered that my passion lay elsewhere. I was inspired to pursue the medical field and found that my true calling was much different from what I had expected. Within medicine, I found a career where I could continue working with my hands while using those skills to provide care for others.

My true passion lies in providing for others and being able to fix or help “rebuild” individuals. I chose to pursue the vigorous career path of General Surgery so that I could deliver a service to patients that very few individuals are able to provide… while also building strong relationships with patients and their families. Beyond my General Surgery training, I pursued additional advanced training in Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. I have multiple research publications in abdominal wall reconstruction and hernias and have also written a book chapter on hernias. Providing the most up-to-date and advanced care for patients is of the utmost importance and, therefore, I will never stop contributing and working on advancing the surgical profession.

My goal is to deliver the best care possible to each and every patient I meet. Outside of the surgical realm, I enjoy time spent with my four wonderful children and my loving wife. I am a true family man and would be honored to have you join my surgical family. My hope is that you would choose me as your surgeon not only for my expertise but for my compassion and dedication to patient care and my desire to forge a lifelong patient/doctor relationship with you.”

Dr. Faulkner impressed me as soon as he walked in the door. It was very obvious to me that he had studied and he knew me and my condition before he ever laid eyes on me. I’m so glad I found him. Thank you, Dr. Faulkner.

Everyone there was excellent. The doctor explained things very well and I did not have to ask many questions. They were answered while he was explaining. He did not make it feel rushed or like they were just trying to move along to the next patient. The staff were professional but not cold and rushed. You could tell they caring and concerned about my fears and concerns.
